On 4^th and 5^th March, 2017, Team SPY (Salsette Parsi Youth) organized its first All Parsees Box Cricket Tournament at the Salsette Parsi Colony at its newly created ground, with the participation of 20 teams in this 6-a-side, 5-over-an-innings contest. Teams were divided into six groups where the top two teams per group moved to the next stage playing knock out matches. The top three teams then played a tri series amongst themselves and last of all, the top two competed in the finals. Malcolm Baug A, Salsette B and Pinch Hitters (Bharucha Baug) were the top three teams.
The home team encouraged by the resident’s support entered the finals against Malcolm Baug A side, however, in the end Malcolm Baug team won the finals. Team SPY thanked the Trustees, sponsors, colony residents and well-wishers for their support in making the tournament a great success.
