Thank You, Prime Minister!

Dear Readers,

We may be one of India’s most miniscule communities, but we are acknowledged and cherished more than we know! In our issue last week, we had our Parsi New Year ushered in with greetings from Indian leaders – Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis and wife Amruta; Minister of Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Police Commissioner Datta Padsalgikar. And in this, our first issue of the New Year, we have none other than the world’s most dynamic Prime Minister, our very own Shri Narendra Modi, wishing our fabulous community a Happy New Year with a warm message for us all (Pg. 11).

Parsi Times is as humbled as it is privileged to be the auspicious, chosen platform to deliver greetings to our community from our spirited Indian vanguards! These precious greetings, from the highest offices of Indian governance, come in at a time when we need to get together and reinforce our efforts in addressing crucial aspects about our community – right from our very survival to our sense of unity… these greetings prove to be the much needed reminder about the national admiration earned by the greats of our Community; and our distinct, premiere identity as a people known for our industriousness and achievements. And who better and bigger, to remind us of our eminence, than our diligent PM Modi, who himself embodies and symbolises these very traits, in his successful endeavours elevating India’s status on all fronts – governmental, economical, infrastructural and of course, global… never before has India been as much the cynosure of the global community as it is today, thanks to Shri Narendra Modi. So, as proud Indians and Parsis, thank you, Prime Minister!

We, at Parsi Times, are also grateful for our readers’ magnanimous response to our Navroze Special Issue – your feedback, in terms of your words of encouragement, but more importantly your constructive critique, is what guides us in our endeavours and helps Parsi Times sustain its reputation as the Community’s most preferred news-weekly. 22nd August marks the birth anniversary of our venerated Prophet, Zarathushtra – here’s wishing Khordad Saal Mubarak to all our readers – hope you will savour our insightful article highlighting His life and teachings (Pg. 04).

Here’s looking forward to starting off our New Year on a positive note!

Thank you all for your continued support. And once again, for your warm New Year wishes and words of praise and encouragement for our Community… Thank you, Prime Minister!
