Australia Wins 2nd T20 And Level Series: An unbeaten 62 from Moises Henriques and 48 not out by Travis Head coupled with great bowling performance from Jason Behrendorff helped the visitors beat the men in blue by 8 wickets during the second T20 clash at Guwahati. Batting first India notched up 118 in 20 overs where Kedar Jadhav scored 27. Jason Behrendorff and Adam Zampa were the pick of the bowlers scalping 4-21 and 2-19 respectively in their 4 over spells. Australia cruised to victory in style as they finished off with 122-2 in 15.3 overs. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah picked 1 wicket each. Australia and India now level the series 1-1 and the decider will be played in Hyderabad. Jason was adjudged as the Man of the Match.

On 7th October Jaipur Pink Panthers beat U Mumba 36-32. The next day, Gujarat Fortune Giants defeated Patna Pirates 33-29 and Puneri Paltan outplayed Jaipur Pink Panthers 38-30. 10th October, saw Dabang Delhi KC over power opponents Jaipur Pink Panthers 35-34. The following day Bengaluru Bulls edge out Dabang Delhi KC 35-32.opening encounter at the Japan Open.

India Beat Japan In Asia Cup Hockey Opener: India put up an impressive overall performance to bat rivals Japan 5-1 in their opening game of the 10th edition of the men’s Asia Cup Hockey Tournament. SV Sunil, Lalit Upadhyay, Ramandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh (hit 2 goals) were bang on target.

India Seal AFC Asia Cup Berth: India has qualified for the 2019 AFC Asia Cup after they crushed opponents Macau 4-1 in a qualifying round game. India have now topped group A with 12 points from their four games. Rowllin Borges opened the goal scoring for India in the 28th minute. Skipper Sunil Chhetri doubled the lead in the 60th minute while Macau conceded an own goal through defender Lam Seng in the 70th minute to award India its third. The fourth was netted by Jeje Lalpekhlua.
