The Annual Prize Distribution Function of Bai Bhikhaijee Shapoorjee Bengallee Girls’ High School was held at Sheth Goculdas Tejpal Auditorium on 19^th January 2018, with criminal lawyer and theatre personality, Huzan Wadia gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. Attended by President of Parsee Girls’ School Association (PGSA), Minoo Bilimoria; Honorary Treasurer, Kersi Commissariat; Trustee, Zubin Billimoria, along with members of the managing committee of PGSA, Prof. (Dr.) Pearl Pastakia, Prof. (Dr.) Gulestan Kerawalla, RustomVakil, Aspy Engineer and Firdaus Pavri, the function commenced with the National Anthem and the school song by the senior school students, followed by a ‘Welcome Dance’ and a ‘Hunny Bunny Dance’ performed by the Pre-Primary section.

Principal, Kashmira Balsara, introduced the Chief Guest and presented the school report for the academic year 2016 – 2017. Trophies and prizes for various curricular and co-curricular activities were distributed by Huzan Wadia. Vahista Avari was awarded the trophy for ‘The Best Parsee Pupil in the Primary Section’, while Head Girl, Harshita Barot was awarded trophies for ‘The Best Guide of the Year’ and ‘The Outstanding Student of the Year’. Accompanied by her husband, Neville Wadia, Huzan addressed the audience, stressing upon the importance of co-curricular activities to be pursued along with the academic syllabus, and urged parents to allow their children to follow their dreams. The entertainment program themed ‘Rangeelo Rajasthan’, portrayed the true colours of Rajasthan with various dances such as Kathputli, Holi, Ghoomer, Chirmi and Kalbeliya dances performed by students of all standards as well as by the ex-students. The program was appreciated by all present.
