As You Sow, So Shall You Reap, As You Vote, So Shall You Weep!

Dear Readers,

It’s really as simple as that. If you don’t wish to regret your vote after electing the wrong candidate, this would be a good time to take the effort to ‘KYC’ – Know Your Candidate! Every so often we hear of numerous grievances from Community members lamenting the people they put in power by voting for them, but who, on assuming authority, forgot all about responsibility.

The only thing more disastrous than voting for the wrong candidate is not voting at all. Assuming most of us will vote, as responsible community members let’s ensure to be informed about our candidates, if we genuinely want progress and unity in our community. Information off social media platforms can be very confusing because the only measure of its authenticity is sadly, the reserve of its frequency on Whatsapp or Facebook! Stop relying on words – read or spoken. Verify the truth behind those words to see potential in the deliverance of promises made by campaigning candidates. It’s up to you – remember – as you sow, so shall you reap… or in this case – as you vote, so shall you weep!

And now for the good news – the Community has been saved of having to spend a large sum on a (supposed) second election, thanks to BPP Trustee, Noshir Dadrawala’s decision, to not quit and stay on as Trustee. The Community and the Board is relieved, not simply for the financial save, but also for not losing out on a Trustee committed to serving the Community. And much to everyone’s benefit, there will thus be only one election in July. Parsi Times is delighted to have broken this news first on our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/parsi.times) and as promised, you can read the details of the same on Pg.4.

Wish you all a Happy Weekend!
