Mumbai Indians Crush Kolkata Knight Riders: A stellar performance from Ishan Kishan (62 off 21) helped Mumbai Indians (MI) win by a mammoth 102 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. Batting first, MI scored a massive 210-6 in their 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and skipper Rohit Sharma contributed 36 each. For KKR, Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers snapping up 3-48 in his four overs. In reply, KKR succumbed to the pressure and at one stage were 67-6 in 9.2 overs before collapsing to a paltry 108 in 18.1 overs. Though Chris Lynn and Nitish Rana scored 21 each they were unable to sustain in the middle. For MI, the Pandya brothers played truant in the opposition camp and picked four key wickets amongst themselves. Ishan won the Man of the Match.


BADMINTON

Sai Praneeth And Sameer Verma Advance In Australian Open Badminton: India shuttlers B. Sai Praneeth and Sameer Verma played exceptionally well to move into the next round of the Australian Open Badminton Tournament in Sydney. Praneeth defeated Israel’s Mish Zilberman in straight sets of the first round, 21-17, 21-14 in just 45 minutes, while Verma came back strongly after losing his first game and ultimately beat New Zealand’s Abhinav Manota 13-21, 21-9, 21-7 in 42 minutes.


BASKETBALL

Boston Celtics Will Face Cleveland Cavaliers In Eastern Conference Finals: Boston Celtics will face LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Eastern Conference finals after a 4-1 series win. Jayson Tatum put Boston in command with 111-109 ahead with just 22 seconds left, before three free throws earned them a final 114-112 victory.


FOOTBALL

Premier League: On 5th May, Crystal Palace won 2-1 with Stoke City, West Ham United won 2-0 V/s Leicester City. The following day Arsenal beat Burnley 5-0 while Chelsea defeated Liverpool 10.
