Lions Club of Byculla once again helped out the Ophthalmology Department of K.E.M. Hospital, by donating equipments worth INR 5.75 lakhs. These included a horizontal cylindrical high pressure sterilizer, nano servo sterilizer console and a hand held keratometer. These machines are very essential to sterilize the equipments which are used for surgical purposes. The project was attended by Chief Guest Ln. Dr. Ashok Mehta along with the Dean of the hospital, Dr. Soupe. The Chief Guest after doing traditional pooja started the surgical machine. President of the Club, Lion Percy Master complimented his members for assisting the Club in executing these value based projects.  He informed the gathering that it is the objective of the Club to render maximum help to public hospitals where the exodus of the patients is very high.  In K.E.M. hospital itself everyday thirty to forty eye surgeries are carried out and over 200-300 patients visit the OPD of the hospital. He commended the Dean for the valued guidance to various departments.
