Celebrations Unfurl As HPY Goes Pearl!

Just as the rains rejuvenate the parched, barren land into a garden-in-bloom, so does a dynamic, young generation make the community blossom! HPY (Holiday Programme for Youth) has been facilitating the bloom in our community by enriching it with the steady growth of a spirited, groomed and confident youth, for the past three decades. Every year HPY provides the proverbial sparkle on our rough, uncut diamonds, just out of school – by taking in students who have completed their Class X for one “life-changing month”, and delivering a polished, new generation with promising potential, to ensure a radiant tomorrow for our community, and preparing them for their advent into the real world via training sessions laced with fun and learning.

2016 marks HPY’s ‘Pearl’ or 30th Anniversary, under the dynamic leadership of Diana Mafatia. “As HPY 2016 comes to a successful close, my team and I feel elated at the success of the past four, fulfilling weeks. We now look forward to the fabulous show that will celebrate our 30th Anniversary on June 4th. Team HPY truly thanks Parsi Times for its full-hearted and continual support,” says Diana.

On Saturday, the 4th of June, 2016, HPY invites everyone to join in the celebrations of their ‘Pearl Anniversary’ with the musical bonanza, ‘That One Month’- a play, written and directed by Meherzad Patel, at Jamshedji Bhabha Theatre, NCPA at 7pm. The play portrays nostalgia via HPY as a platform that reconnects long-lost friends, community members and past alumni. It will be followed by a delectable Asian and Continental dinner buffet by Joss, which includes a khowsuey station, salads, hummus with pita and lavache, thai style barbeque chicken, pepper encrusted fish, spinach and corn bake, mee-goreng noodles, pot rice, chocolate cigars, prune and ice-creams. Passes for the event (including play and dinner), are selling quickly. To avoid disappointment, book yours now at ‘bookmyshow.com’, or at the NCPA box office or contact Huzan on 9819342162.
