England Thrashes The Lankans To Win The ODI Series
Pg_23The Englishmen produced top class cricket throughout the entire series. This time around too, it was no different when these two teams met at Cardiff for the fifth ODI. The Lankan lions won the toss and opted to bowl first. Roy, Vince and Root played exceptionally well and helped their side get a mammoth total of 324 on the board. In reply, the visitors were unable to score those big runs thus, handing England a win by 122 runs. England wrapped up the series 3-0 against their Lankan counterparts. Jos Buttler was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ while Jason Roy bagged the ‘Man of the Series’ award.

England Seal The One Off T20 With A Win
On 5th July, once again the Englishmen cruised yet another victory against Sri Lanka. England played fearless cricket throughout the entire game and deserved to be on the winning side. The Lankan’s put up 140 runs in their 20 overs while on the other hand England scored 144/2 in 17.3 overs, thus winning the only T20 game handsomely by 8 wickets. Buttler was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’.

Pratul Joshi emerged victorious as he beat Czech Republic’s Milan Ludik 21-18, 21-13.
