Correspondent Delaveen Tarapore.

Meher Bhesania copyPT: What led to the concept of Dubai Pravasi Yatra DPY?
Meher: Dubai has earlier hosted programmes like ‘WZC’ (2009) and ‘Enterprise Dubai’ (2014), where many fellow Zoroastrians expressed a desire to explore the fun element of sight-seeing alongside business exchanges, as Dubai is considered one of the most beautiful cities globally. Hence, WZCC initiated ‘Dubai Pravasi Yatra’, a tailored travel and tourism program for Zoroastrians worldwide. Besides its numerous tourist attractions, Dubai is also preparing to host the ‘World Expo 2020’, making it a lucrative country brimming with umpteen potential for business and travel enthusiasts who wish to tap opportunities in several sectors like trading, manufacturing, retail and commercial trading, construction and hotel sector. DPY offers this ‘Leisure-cum-Business’ tour that will give Dubai Tourism a whole new definition.

PT: What does DPY offer in terms of business and pleasure?
Meher: The participants will get to see Dubai and the capital of UAE, Abu Dabi, in a whole new light. With the customary tourist destinations like manmade Palm Island, Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari and Dancing Fountains, participants will also get to visit the largest mall in the world; architectural structures; dunes bashing and exotic cuisines as the ‘leisure’ part of the trip. A special ‘dinner theatre’ has been arranged, with the play, ‘Laughter Therapy’ being performed by Silly Point Productions. For business enthusiasts, this trip is rather lucrative as we have arranged a visit to the ‘Free Zone’ which offers ample networking opportunities with professionals who will provide business advice. Most importantly, DPY gives all a chance to mix and mingle with WZCC members from the world over!

PT: How cost effective is this trip?
Meher: DPY is a one time travel and tourism program for our community at the most economical rate of approx Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 62, 000, which includes airline ticket (Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai) by Jet Airways, airport transfers at Dubai, accommodation cost at four star hotel ‘Hilton Garden Inn Al Mina’ and inclusive of breakfast, lunch, lavish dinners, entertainment programmes, one day excursion to Abu Dhabi, show cruises, sight seeing, business networking opportunities and so much more! How can it get better than this???

PT: How is DPY especially beneficial for our Community’s youth?
Meher: This trip is very promising for the youth of our community who are seeking great career opportunities outside. Being a ‘tax free country’, settling or starting a business in Dubai seems more profitable. This trip will provide a closer look into various sectors, exploring the true potential of the markets, answering your queries, while leisurely exploring Dubai travelling in AC coaches. We are open to feedback or queries from interested youngsters who seek something more or details about this trip.

PT: What does DPY hope to achieve?
Meher: On the whole, DPY hopes to integrate the community over the five day journey, facilitating strategic business opportunities, and exploring the fun side to this ‘City of Gold’! We look forward to seeing you all in Dubai!!
