India Wins 1st ODI But New Zealand Bounce Back In The 2nd: During the 1st ODI at Dharamshala, India dominated the show reducing the Kiwis to 190 in 43.5 overs. Debutant Hardik Pandya impressed with 3/31 in his bowling spell. Virat Kohli scored 85 runs and Indian grabbed a 6 wicket victory. In the 2nd ODI, the Kiwis scored 242/9 in their 50 overs but won the match by 6 runs as the Indians were all out for 236 runs, leveling the series at 1-1.

Punjab Beat Madhya Pradesh In Ranji Clash: Punjab skipper Yuvraj Singh marched his troops to a 126 run victory. He smashed a century in the first innings and summed it up with another great knock of 76 runs. Amongst the bowlers Manpreet Gony picked up 4/41 while Siddharth Kaul grabbed 3/42 and Sandeep Sharma scalped 2/25. Punjab picked up 6 points from the win.

FOOTBALL

Indian Super League Results: On 15th October, Delhi Dynamos FC and North East United FC drew their encounter 1-1, while the following day Atletico de Kolkata and FC Goa also were involved in a draw 1-1. FC Pune City and Kerala Blasters FC also played out a 1-1 draw, as Delhi Dynamos FC and Mumbai City FC also finished on 3-3. ChennaiyinFC played well to win their game against North East United FC 1-0 on 20th October.

Premier League Results: Chelsea beat Leicester City 3-0, while Arsenal won against counterparts Swansea City 3-2. AFC Bournemouth played exceptionally well to clinch a 6-1 victory against Hull City. Manchester City and Everton drew 1-1, Stoke City outplayed Sunderland 2-0. West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur were involved in a 1-1 draw and West Ham United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 on 15th October. On 16th October, Watford emerged victorious 1-0 against Middlesbrough and Southampton defeated Burnley 3-1.

BADMINTON

India’s Sourabh Verma Wins Chinese Taipei Badminton Grand Prix: Indian shuttler Sourabh Verma grabbed the men’s singles title after he defeated opponent Liew Daren of Malaysia. He went on to win the Chinese Taipei Badminton title after his rival retired in the third round following a shoulder injury. The final score card read as 12-10, 12-10, 3-3.

PV Sindhu Advances To Second Round Of Denmark Open: 21 year old Olympic Silver medallist PV Sindhu started off on another great note at the Denmark Open as she clinched a 21-14, 21-19 victory over rival He Bingjiao of China. She will now face Japanese player
Sayaka Sato.

KABADDI

India Defeat England, Move Into Semi-Finals Of 2016 Kabaddi World Cup: India thrashed England 69-18 and entered the semi-finals of the Kabaddi World Cup in Ahmedabad. Raider Pardeep Narwal scored 13 points while Ajay Thakur scored 11 points.
