The Sanjan Day Memorial Column Committee comprising President Bapsy Davierwala, Jamshed Katrak, Pareecheher Davierwala and Percy Harver celebrated Sanjan Day on 16th November, 2016 (Roj Bahman, Mah Tir) by organizing a jasan ceremony at 8:00am performed by mobeds of Nargol and Saronda. Another Jasan ceremony was performed at 10:15am by Vada Dasturji of Udvada, Khurshed Dastoor and six others at the Jehangir Vimadalal Pavilion, in the presence of 250 devotees. A Humbandagi was performed, after which the devotees relished a delicious breakfast. The typical yearly celebrations had to be cut short this year due to the ongoing current financial chaos. However, our community is grateful to Western Railways, which halted two prime trains at Sanjan on this auspicious occasion.
