roundup_1Mumbai Defeat Railways Ranji Clash: Batting first, Mumbai notched up 345 runs in their first innings due to contributions from Surya Kumar Yadav (110 runs), Akhil Herwadkar (96 runs) and Shreyas Iyer (70 runs). For the Railways, Karn Sharma grabbed 5/81. In reply, Railways were packed off within no time (160 all out) as Mumbai’s Vijay Gohil scalped 5/64. After being enforced with a follow on, Railways managed just 208 runs. The champions, team Mumbai finished off the game with 24/0, thus defeating Railways by 10 wickets.

Punjab Win Ranji Contest Vs Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh notched up 335 runs in their first innings as Sandeep Sharma from Punjab grabbed a fifer. On the other hand Punjab were all out for 319 runs as Manan Vohra (59 runs), Jiwanjot Singh (62 runs), Yuvraj Singh (85 runs) and Mandeep Singh (63 runs) all contributed greatly. When it came to UP batting again, it was star bowler Siddharth Kaul from team Punjab who turned the match on its head picking up 6/27 in his 12 over spell. Thus Punjab won by 7
wickets.

Rishabh Pant Creates History: Delhi’s dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has not only scored the fastest ever hundred by an Indian in a first class game but also scored the fastest century in Ranji Trophy history and thus has got himself into record books. He hit a 48 ball ton against Jharkhand in a Ranji Trophy match.

Parsee Gym Beats Islam Gym At Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament: In their second league game against Islam Gymkhana, Parsee Gymkhana  scored a mammoth 232 runs in 58.4 overs, as Arjun Shetty top scored with 92 runs and Ajinkya Patil went onto make a half century. Islam Gymkhana struggled early on and perished for 180 runs. Sagar Udeshi’s impressive fifer helped Parsee Gymkhana win by 52 runs. The Raunaq Sharma led PG side is looking a solid team and can very well pose as a threat to other oppositions.

Indian Super League Results: On 5th November, Mumbai City FC defeated North East United FC 1-0, while the next day FC Pune City outplayed Atletico de Kolkata 2-1. On 8th November, Kerala Blasters FC won 2-1 playing against FC Goa. Next day Delhi Dynamos FC won 4-1 against Chennaiyin FC. 10th November, saw FC Pune City win 1-0 v/s Mumbai City FC.
