Breach Candy

The name originates from a Hindi-Arabic fusion word, ‘Burj-Khadi’. The area has many famous landmarks throughout its long and winding stretch, from the Breach Candy Hospital to Amarsons, and Tata gardens and Lincoln House, the former location of the Consulate General of the United States in India. The elite Breach Candy Club in the neighbourhood features the country’s largest India-shaped swimming pool.

Butcher Island

Butcher Island is an island off the coast of Mumbai. More specifically, this island is situated close to Shot Bandar and Elephanta Island. Also known as ‘Jawahar Dweep’, the island has a hillock arising from the centre of the island and is covered with dense vegetation. It has an oil terminal used by the port authorities to offload it from oil tankers. It is also known to be a restricted area.
