Saronda Dar-e-Meher Celebrates 111 Years

The Saronda Parsi Zarthosti Anjuman Dar-e-meher at Saronda, Gujarat, celebrated its 111th Salgreh on 6th May, 2017, (Roj Daepdin, Mah Adar), with a Jasan ceremony performed by six priests and attended by over two hundred and twenty five devotees across nearby towns, villages and cities. A talk was given by President Dinshaw R Patel and appeal for funds for Saronda Anjuman’s maintenance and Nargol Priest accident victim Er. Bharucha, who is admitted at Saifee Hospital. A humbandgi was performed by priests and devotees, followed by a round of chasni and a gambhar.

The beautiful Dar-e-meher is situated in the vibrant Saronda village, which derives its name from the tall Saronda trees, situated 170 kms from Mumbai.

Names of Jasan performing Priests: Er. Keki Panthaki, Noshir Panthaki, Zubin Fatakia, Rayomand Panthaki, Hoshang Govadia.
