Rising Pune Supergiant Storm Into IPL 10 Final: Great batsmanship by Ajinkya Rahane (56), Manoj Tiwary (58) and MS Dhoni (40), coupled with magnificent spells from Washington Sunder 3-16 and Shardul Thakur 3-37, helped RPS clinch victory by 20 runs against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, Pune amassed 162-4 in 20 overs on a slow track. In reply, Mumbai struggled losing wickets in quick succession, bundled out for 142-9 in 20 overs. Man of the Match was Washington Sunder.

KKR Beat SRH In A Rain Curtailed Match: Great team effort by Kolkata Knight Riders ensured victory against SRH in a rain-delayed match, winning by 7 wickets (DLS method) in Bengaluru. They advance to play the eliminator against Mumbai Indians. Batting first SRH notched up a mere 128-7 in 20 overs. Nathan Coulter-Nile was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3-20 in his 4 overs spell. Further, rain played spoil sport and the target for KKR was set at 48 to get in 6 overs according to the DLS method. After losing 3 early wickets, skipper Gautam Gambhir played a good innings of 32 in 19 balls and gaining victory in 5.2 overs as KKR’s Nathan Coulter-Nile was awarded Man of the Match.

Premier League Results: On 13th May, Manchester City beat Leicester City 2-1, AFC Bournemouth clinched 2-1 victory against Burnley while Southampton defeated rivals Middlesbrough 2-1. Swansea City won 2-0 V/s Sunderland and Arsenal played exceptionally well to win 4-1 with Stoke City. The following day, Crystal Palace emerged victorious 4-0 V/s Hull City, Liverpool outplayed rivals West Ham United to win 4-0 and finally Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United 2-1. 15th May saw a close contest between Chelsea and Watford with Chelsea clinching a 4-3 victory. On 16th May, Arsenal beat Sunderland 2-0, and Manchester United outplayed West Bromwich Albion 3-1.

New Zealand Defeat India: The Indian women were defeated by their New Zealand counterparts 2-8. New Zealand’s striker Stacey Michelsen struck thrice. India’s Lilima Minz and Anupa Barla scored two goals.
