Lions Club Intnl Centenary Celebrations

The world’s largest and fastest growing service club, Lions Clubs International, organized another leg of its centenary celebrations, with a ‘Community Legacy Project’ of refurbishing Colaba Police Chowky at Gateway of India, on 7th June, 2017. Inaugurated by International President 2017-18, Lion Dr. Naresh Aggarwal, the project was coordinated by District Governor Elect Lion Pradip Parekh, thereby making it a lasting gift for the benefit of our Community for years to come. In keeping with the celebrations a celebratory dinner was held at Rooftop Rendevouz of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Dr. Neville Mehta, Executive Administrator, ISAAME Secretariat took this opportunity to thank Lions globally for their humanitarian service. He addressed the gathering on how Lions will focus on the cause of Diabetes and it’s worldwide eradication. Speaking to Parsi Times, Lion Percy Master of the Master Group of Companies, said, “The pioneer of Lionism in India was a Parsi, Noshir Pundole and this is a great feather in our Community’s cap. Lions Club is a great humanitarian organisation and we want to give back to the community in every way possible.”
