Renovated Dar-E-Meher Inaugurated In Hyderabad

The grand 112-year-old, Bai Maneckbai Nusserwanji Chenoy Fire Temple, Hyderabad inaugurated their newly renovated Dar-E-Meher, with the ‘Yazashne’ and ‘Vendidad’ ceremonies being conducted in the memory of Late Perin Kersasp Dastoor, by her daughters, Meher Dastoor and Farida Antia and grandchildren, Sanaea Chichgar and Khushro Antia, and performed by Yaozdathregar Mobeds, Er. Adil Bhesania and Er. Mahiyar Panthaki from Mumbai. The ‘Yazashne’ ceremony commenced on 26th June, 2017, at 6.30 am, followed by the ‘Vendidad’ ceremony on the 27th, which lasted from 12:30 am to 6:30 am. The Atash Padshah Saheb was further enthroned in the newly renovated ‘Kebla’ at 7:00 am after the ceremonies were successfully conducted.

A Havan Geh maachi and thanksgiving jasan was offered by Er. Aspandiar Dadachanji along with eight other Mobeds from Hyderabad Agiary, Viccajee Meherji Agiary, Secunderabad; and the two Yaozdathregar mobeds from Mumbai. Er. Aspandiar Dadachanji delivered a talk on ‘Atash Padshah Saheb Ni Bandagi Ane Tena Fayda’. Panthaky of the Dar-e-Maher, Er. Mehernosh Bharucha, thanked the Trustees, Er. Aspandiar Dadachanji and the Yaozdathregar Mobeds from Mumbai for conducting the ceremonies successfully, which were well-organised by the Secretary and Treasurer of the Trust, Russi K Doctor and attended by a large number of Zoroastrians from the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The devotees parted after partaking high tea.
