India Beat West Indies In 2nd ODI: India played brilliantly to clinch the 2nd ODI in Trinidad beating West Indies by 105 runs. The rains spoiled play reducing the match to 43 overs. Batting first, India scored 310-5 in 43 overs. Ajinkya Rahane top scored with a blistering knock of 103 which included 10 fours and 2 sixes, notching up his 3rd ODI century. On the other end, his partner Shikhar Dhawan contributed a handy 63. Skipper Virat Kohli’s 87 off 66 deliveries was a treat to watch as he smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes out of the park! Dhoni and Jadhav remained unbeaten at 13 each. WI’s Alzarri Joseph grabbed 2-73 in 8 overs. In reply, WI collapsed at 205-6 in 43 overs. Wicketkeeper Shai Hope played well for his 81. Debutant Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, snapping up 3-50 in his 9-over spell. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a spectacular 5 overs picking up 2 wickets and giving away just 9 runs. Rahane was declared ‘Man of the Match’, as India go 1 up in the series.

Roger Federer Wins Halle Title: Swiss tennis star Roger Federer thrashed Alexander Zverev to win the Wimbledon warm-up tournament in Halle. Federer won 6-1, 6-3 in 53 minutes – his 100th title win comprising 92 Singles titles and 8 Doubles.

Canada Outplay India: The Indian hockey team finished sixth in the Hero Hockey World league Semi-finals, defeated 2-3 by Canada. This was India’s second collapse against a lower ranked side in the tournament. Previously, India lost to Malaysia in the quarter finals. With this win, Canada gain 5th spot in the tournament.

Kidambi Srikanth Clinches Australian Open Super Series Title: Star Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth continued his winning streak defeating Olympic champion, Chen Long 22-20, 21-16, in the Men’s Singles Final to clinch the Australian Open Super Series Title. This is Srikanth’s second consecutive Super Series Title.
