AIRIA Honors Pilloo Aga

The All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) recently felicitated Financial Director of the Gold Seal Group, Pilloo Aga, with the ‘Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Indian Rubber Industry’ at the All India National Rubber Conference, held in Mumbai. The award primarily recognises her contribution in driving the growth of the rubber industry in India.

With the Gold Seal Group since 1980, Pilloo has contributed largely to the expansion of Gold Seal Group with operations in Mumbai, Daman and Sanand, and even globally, setting up two joint ventures – The SaarGummi in Germany and Avon Rubber in the UK. She also held the purchase portfolio for the group. During her tenure as chairperson of the Western Region from 1999-2003, she was instrumental in building membership from the MSME sectors, and was recognised for several programmes organised in the Western Region. She was awarded the ‘Best Woman Entrepreneur’ award by the Mariwala Foundation.

On receiving her award by President AIRIA, Kamal Chaudhari; Senior VP, AIRIA, Vikram Makar and Chairman, AIRIA, Vinod Bansal, in the presence of her husband, Cyrus Aga and sons Urvaksh Aga and Darius Aga, Pilloo mentioned that she was thankful to the All India Rubber Industries Association, the managing committee and all the members for this recognition of the thirty plus years in the industry. She praised the support given to her by everyone around during her tenure, who not only nurtured her but also helped her achieve this success.
