Er. Hathiram Honours Late Jehangir Chiniwalla

Er. Marzban Hathiram commemorated the 44th death anniversary of ‘Kshnoom’ Seth Jehangirji Chiniwalla on the eve of October 1st, 2017 with a talk on ‘The Establishment of Iranshah and His glorious destiny’ at Palamkote Hall, Dadar.
Er. Hathiram extolled Seth Jehangirji Chiniwalla’s mission of expounding the tenets and teachings of the Ilm-E-Kshnoom, the medium of practicing the Mazdayasni Zarthoshti religion, as propagated by Ustad Behramshah Navroji Shroff, the exponent and teacher of the Science of Truth. Behramshah Shroff had entrusted Jehangirji Chiniwalla with this gargantuan responsibility ,which he fulfilled by spreading the teachings of the Kshnoom in a weekly bulletin, encouraging the community to practice and uphold the Mazdayasni Zarthoshti religion and its traditions and rituals in the essential and conventional way as taught by Prophet Zarathushtra. Jehangirji Chiniwalla’s religious credo was ‘An enemy of the religion is my enemy.”
Speaking on the establishment of Iranshah, Er. Hathiram explained how the tale of sugar being dissolved in the bowl is just a myth and how it was Dasturji Neryoshang Dhaval who explained that they were from the land of Shah Jamsheed Padshah, where the Sun and Light were venerated by praying the Khorshed and Meher Nyaish. Dasturji Dhaval expressed gratitude to the King for the sanctuary given to them and requested him to grant them three square miles to establish an Aatash Behram. He undertook the enterprise of cleaning and sanctifying the area, which would be occupied only by Zoroastrians because the presence of a non-Zoroastrian in and around the area would destroy the sanctity. The request was granted. Er. Hathiram said, “This extremely important request also has a direct bearing on the issues in the community today.”
Er. Hathiram bemoaned that the underground Metro project will destroy the sanctity of our Agiaries and Aatash Behrams, and the lack of action to stop this. Speaking about the later attacks against Zoroastrians in Sanjan, our forefathers remembered Dasturji Dhaval’s injunction never to physically touch Pak Iranshah because Pak Iranshah had the power to take care of itself. However, the priests had to physically protect it and take refuge in the Bahrot caves, to Vansda from where three families took Pak Iranshah to Navsari. Explained Er. Hathiram, “By consecrating the Aatash Behram, a Pav Mahal, a Palace of Exceptional Purity and a Centre of Divine Spirituality, was created and is the source of strength for the Parsi community’s existence since 1200 years.”
Er. Hathiram added that by consecrating Pak Iranshah, Dasturji Neryoshang Dhaval had created the protector (Paasbaan) of the Zoroastrian community. He stated, “Pak Iranshah is the centre of our existence, our life source and our most invaluable asset, so it is vital to venerate Him with total physical and spiritual purity.” He described the Boi ritual as a constant reconnection of Pak Iranshah with its Creator Dadar Ahura Mazda and the spiritual world; and how fortunate we are to witness the Boi ritual. “Pak Iranshah is the source of all other Aatash Behrams, Agiaries and Dadgahs, so it is vital for us to visit and venerate those Pak Aatash Padshah Sahebs which are hardly visited by the community,” concluded Er. Marzban Hathiram.
