Parsi General Hospital Partners Medanta Group For New Hospital

The BD Petit Parsee General Hospital (PGH) has signed an agreement with the Medanta Group (The Medicity, Gurgaon), on 25th October, 2017, to equip, operate and manage a separate new cosmopolitan hospital, that will be set up in the premises of Parsee General hospital. Medanta will pay an annuity as well as a percentage of the revenue earned to PGH, which will enable PGH to continue offering medical relief to the underprivileged.

The new cosmopolitan hospital will provide facilities in several disciplines such as cardiology, nephrology, oncology etc. Parsis will also get the benefit of the super-specialty and diagnostic facilities such as Petscan, MRI, etc. Medanta will give preference to Parsi patients referred by PGH, and charge concessional rates. They will financially bear the cost of training nurses and medicals at PGH, said a report published in Mumbai Samachar. The new hospital will be cosmopolitan while the existing Hospital (PGH) will continue to be for Parsi Zoroastrians only, with no portion of the land or building alienated, the area will continue to remain with the Parsi community.
