It involves a lot of time, expense, balancing between my family, training and my work schedules. Typically, I train for 6 days in a week which includes various types of workout as prescribed by my coach. Triathlon training involves a lot of costs starting with investing in a good GPS watch to track the workouts, a good bike, pre and post training nutrition, Tri and wet suit for certain events, amongst many other things. Each has its own share of up gradation as one progress from one category to another.” A skin therapist by profession, Ayesha is currently training to participate in ‘Half Ironman’ triathlon (Swim- 1.9Km, Bike- 90km, Run-21Km) to be held in Colombo in February 2018.
