India- Sri Lanka Thrilling Test Match Ends In Draw

The match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata finished in a draw. Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s century was the highlight of the contest. Batting first, India notched up 172 in 59.3 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka scored 294 in 83.4 overs as Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews and Rangana Herath scored half-centuries. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammmed Shami were the pick of the bowlers scalping eight wickets amongst themselves. During their second innings, India declared at 352-8 in 88.4 overs as Virat made an unbeaten 104, smashing 12 fours and 2 sixes. When the Lankan’s came into bat they were reduced to 75-7 in 26.3 overs as the Indian bowlers ripped through their batting line up. Ultimately bad light stopped play. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was awarded the Man of the Match.

On 18^th November Arsenal won 2-0 against Tottenham Hotspur, AFC Bournemouth defeated Huddersfield Town 4-0 while Burnley outplayed rivals Swansea City 2-0. Crystal Palace drew their encounter 2-2 with Everton, Manchester City beat Leicester City 2-0. Liverpool won 3-0 against rival Southampton while Chelsea overpowered West Bromwich Albion 4-0. Ultimately Manchester United defeated Newcastle United 4-1.
