The pioneer in the field of fitness education, K11 Academy of Fitness Sciences, displayed it’s sinews on the 3rd of December 2017 as proud students got together to share their Director’s passion for biking – riding alongside Kaizzad Capadia, covering a distance of 370kms, from Mumbai to Nashik. The 40 member strong pack of students and personal trainer sported Superbikes, all priced at Rs. INR 600,000/- upwards, including Kawasakis, BMWs, Ducatis, Harley Davidsons, Triumphs and more.
In keeping with the Cause, ‘Responsible Biking With K11’, the entire pack of K11 rode with safety. The ride aligned itself with the mandate of the State Tourism Ministry to promote Biking Tourism. All riders were equipped with state-of-the-art safety riding gear including jackets, pants, boots, gloves and helmets. To add to the safety factor, the convoy was tailed by 5 safety cars, a break-down van with trained mechanics and a fully equipped ambulance.
Eminent bikers like Amol Talpade (owner of the ‘India Superbike Festival’ and CEO, Alpinestar India), Janak Mistry (First Rider to conquer the route of Ladakh on his Ducati Scrambler), and Sharavri Manakwad contributed to the event by giving highly helpful tips on safe riding. Amongst the students were some highly influential invitees of the fitness industry – Manish Gandhi (Owner, IHFF and ABEC), Harmeet Luthra (Owner, Cybex Equipments), Baquar Nasser (Owner, Top Spin), Shweta Mehta (Roadies Winner), who enjoyed the exhilarating ride from Mumbai to Nashik and back.
The event flagged off at 6:00 am from the K11 Academy of Fitness Sciences in Santacruz (East) and culminated at The Taj Mahal Hotel, Colaba. The scenic trails of Kasara Ghat and the beautiful climate added to the experience of all the bikers. The event ended with early birthday celebrations of Kaizzad Capadia, which was organised by his staff and the CEO, his wife, the dynamic and super-fit Kalyani Capadia. The pack rode back safely to Mumbai by 10 pm. The event was supported by Navnit Motors – BMW Motorrad. Kaizzad Capadia led the pack with Kalyani on the BMW R1200GS and BMW 650GS, respectively.
