XYZ Turns Three!

On 16th December, 2017, Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) celebrated its third annual day at the Bai Avabai Petit Girls’ High School with nine groups across XYZ putting up food and games stall. At the commencement of the funfair, XYZ granted wishes of twenty-five children suffering from life threatening diseases through ‘Make A Wish Foundation of India’ by donating gifts like TV sets, computers, laptops, remote control cars, cycles, etc., to the great delight of the recipients.

The much awaited part of the evening was the prize distribution ceremony that commenced with the ‘XYZ ACE Award for Achieving Continuous Excellence’ awarded to Jehan Daboo for excellence in badminton and having represented India at various World Deaf Badminton Championships from 2011 to date.

Next, XYZ groups were awarded trophies for events conducted through the year, followed by the ‘Best Member Trophy’ awarded to one member from each group for excellence in participation and their contribution though 2017. The next set of leaders were installed and an oath was taken to work towards the XYZ Motto, ‘Ushta Hachaane’, ie. Pursuit of Happiness. XYZ also launched its new currency ‘XYZ XYROZ’ that could be earned by XYZ groups by participating and winning in various competitions, attending Fundays and organising social service activities. The relatively young organization, under youth leadership has been growing from strength to strength over the years, bringing happiness and bonding within the community youth and adults alike.
