Ratan Tata was recently felicitated by the Government of Maharashtra with a special award for his contribution to the development of the state of Maharashtra, on 19th February, 2018. The Tata Group patriarch, who served as the Chairman for over three decades across two stints, was presented with the ‘Mahaudyog Sanman’ by Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis during the second day of the ongoing Magnetic Maharashtra Investor Summit. Tata was awarded for his contributions to industrial development and expressed gratitude for the same. Other categories that honoured the spirit of entrepreneurship included Information Technology, Women, Exporters and Small Businesses.
