Parsis At Delhi’s International Vintage Car Rally

The ‘Vintage Zoroastrian Bikers of Bombay’ (VZBB) troupe participated in the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally and Concourse Show held on 17th and 18th February at New Delhi. Parsi bike enthusiasts, Jazeel Mehta participated on Triumph Tiger 100 1947, Jehangir Foroogh participated on his AJS 1927 Racing Model H7, Xereus Zend participated on Triumph Tiger T110 1957, while Shiraz Ginwala and Farokhii Bengali rode the Norton Dominator 1959, in various categories ranging from Pre-War to Post-war and Veteran category.

Harnessing a life-long passion for vintage motorcycles, all five Parsi riders were among the only seven to have completed the ride from India Gate till the Golf Course in Gurgaon, New Delhi; with Jehangir Forooogh and Xereus Zend winning the second position in the Veteran and Post War category, respectively.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Jehangir said, “For all of us, this hobby has transformed into an insatiable passion to ride and collect vintage motorcycles. I strongly believe that as true bike lovers, us Parsis should continue to keep the passion for vintage motorcycles alive within our small community!”
