WZCC Organises Networking Night With Consuls

The World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC), which aims at enabling members to establish rapport with progressive countries worldwide, held a networking program with consuls, trade commissioners and advisors from various countries to interact with its members from similar genres, on 23rd January 2018.

Founder and Secretary General of the International Delphic Council, Christian Kirsch, flew in from Berlin, Germany, to address the gathering on ‘Art and Culture – Together for a Peaceful World. He felicitated WZCC Mumbai Vice Chairman, Jamshed Mistry as the International Legal Advisor of the International Delphic Council, presenting him a symbolic pin.

With several consulates participating in the event, Director of International Trade and Investment Office in India, Government of British Columbia, Canada, Joel Fernandes who represented Canada, informed the gathering of the various benefits, facilities and opportunities available in Canada. Peter Kern, Consul, Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany, interacted with the audience individually next. The Islamic Republic of Iran was represented by Ahmad Sadeghi who spoke of the flourishing relationship between Iran and India and its implications on potential business opportunities. Representing the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Saroja Sirisena spoke about the contributions of Parsis in Sri Lanka, especially that of their Finance Minister, Kaishasp Nariman Choksey. Switzerland was represented by Senior Trade Advisor, Swiss Business Hub, India, Vijay Iyer, who noted that the Indo Swiss Bilateral treaty celebrates its 70th Anniversary, and that the members can directly approach the Swiss Indian Chamber of Commerce or the Swiss Nex.

The question-answer rounds had participants clarifying their doubts over topics including business, market potential, higher education and MOUs with prominent Chambers of Commerce and Industry.  The event concluded with dignitaries showcasing their desire to welcome Indian Entrepreneurs.
