New Zealand Overpowers England To Win 1st Test

Henry Nicholls creditable unbeaten 145 and skipper Kane Williamson’s 102 during New Zealand’s first innings helped the Kiwis beat their rivals England by an innings and 49 runs during the first test match at Eden Park, Auckland. England were bowled out for just 58 in 20.4 overs during their first innings. Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers snapping up 6-32 while Tim Southee picked 4-25. In reply, New Zealand scored 427-8, declaring in 141 overs. For the British, James Anderson and Stuart Broad grabbed three wickets each. In its second innings, England was bundled out for 320 in 126.1 overs. The Kiwi’s Trent Boult was awarded Man of the Match.

 

Parsee Gym Retain Clinches Salar Jung Tourney

Ajinkya Patil (106 in 58 deliveries) and skipper Aakarshit Gomel (94 off 46 balls) coupled with great bowling performances from Prasad Patil (4-8), Abu Patel (3-15) and Shams Mulani (2-10) helped defending champions Parsee Gymkhana (PG) beat Marwari CC by a mammoth 170 runs margin during the first round of the 69th Salar Jung Community Invitation Cricket Tournament 2018. Batting first, Ajinkya smashed 13 fours and 3 sixes while Aakarshit hit 15 fours and 2 sixes. Marwari CC were bundled out for 75 in 18.1.
