Kolkata Beats Rajasthan By Six Wickets: In the race to the play-offs, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler Kuldeep Yadav’s magical spell of (4-20) helped beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) to win by six wickets at Eden Gardens. Put into bat first, after getting off to a flying start, RR lost their way in the middle and only managed 142 in 19 overs. Openers Rahul Tripathi and Jos Buttler contributed 27 and 39 respectively. Among the KKR bowlers, besides Kuldeep, Prasidh Krishna and Andre Russell snapped up two wickets each. In reply, KKR cruised to victory in 18 overs, scoring 145 for the loss of four wickets. Chris Lynn top scored with 45 while skipper Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 41, smashing five fours and one six. Kuldeep won the Man of the Match.

Rayudu’s Powers Chennai To Victory: A magnificent century by Ambati Rayudu along with Shane Watson’s 57 helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win by eight wickets against rivals Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Batting first, Hyderabad posted a fighting 179-4 in their 20 overs courtesy Shikhar Dhawan’s 79 and skipper Kane Williamson’s 51. For CSK, Shardul Thakur snapped up 2-32 in his four overs while Deepak Chahar and Dwayne Bravo picked one wicket each. CSK reached their target comfortably in 19 overs. In the end along with Rayudu, MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 20. For SRH, Sandeep Sharma picked 1-36 in his four overs. Rayudu was Man of the Match.

FOOTBALL

Premier League: 13th May saw AFC Bournemouth win 2-1 with Burnley; Crystal Palace defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 and Arsenal won 1-0 with Huddersfield Town. Liverpool overpowered Brighton and Hove Albion with a massive 4-0 victory while Manchester City outplayed Southampton 1-0 and ultimately Tottenham Hotspur held their nerve to beat Leicester City 5-4..
