NCPA Presents ‘Kitchensink’

Writing original scores that that combine the improvisatory soundscapes of synth-rock and crossover jazz with immersive and deeply personal lyrics, Kitchensink is a refreshing band from New Delhi and an active part of the independent music circuit in India.

Their debut album, ‘Harmless Things’, released in July this year features 10 tracks written since the bands’ inception in 2014. The songs present lyrical storytelling with shades of psychedelic rock and improvised music. The album has been mixed by producer Miti Adhikari, who has served for over three decades as the chief sound engineer at BBC Radio.

Some of the bands notable performances include the Chandigarh Jazz Festival, The Friends of Music Concert Series, The DIY DAY Festival, a curated performance at the India Habitat Center, the Giants of Jazz Festival, Into The Void Festival – Rann Of Kutch Chapter, the Jazz India Circuit Launch, and premier performance venues like The Piano Man Jazz Club and Depot 48.
