Former National and International Table-Tennis players joined in the dinner celebrations at the Parsee Gymkhana (Marine Lines) on 17th November, 2018, to honour the First Division Champions team comprising Hoshang Katrak, Sanish Ambekar, Zubin Taraporewalla, Mayuresh Kelkar and Rayomand Marolia. Parsee Gymkhana had, earlier this year, topped the Premier Division at the prestigious Inter-club League organised by the Mumbai City District Association (PT had carried a detailed report on 2 June, 2018). Former National Champions, Kaity and Farokh Khodaiji – eight times winner, Kamlesh Mehta – former Junior Champion, and Mahendra Chiplunkar were among those who turned up at the Gymkhana. While Farokh Khodaiji lauded the achievements of the players, Kamlesh Mehta said that Parsee Gymkhana could play an important role in propagating the game by hosting more tournaments. President, Mehli Golvala remarked that the Gymkhana remained committed to encouraging youngsters in all disciplines of sports.
