Delnaz Wins ‘MRS. UNIVERSE BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE’ At MRS. UNIVERSE 2018 Pageant

Mumbai’s Delnaz Balsara Sharma, who was crowned the First Runner-Up in the national, prestigious ‘MRS. INDIA SHE IS INDIA 2018’ Pageant (July 2018), represented Asia as ‘MRS. ASIA UNIVERSE’, at the prestigious MRS. UNIVERSE 2018 Pageant, where she did our community, our country and our continent proud, being awarded the sub-title of ‘MRS. UNIVERSE BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE’, on 11th December, 2018 at Cebu, Philippines. 88 glamourous contestants from all over the world competed for the coveted title.

Parsi Times had broken the news on our popular Facebook page (facebook.com/parsi.times) right back on 14th July, 2018, when Delnaz was crowned the First Runner-Up in the national, prestigious ‘MRS. INDIA SHE IS INDIA 2018’ Pageant. And we are delighted to have shared this successful and inspiring journey with Delnaz to this prestigious accomplishment!

Speaking to Parsi Times on her return, Delnaz shares, “The experience was enriching. You get to see and learn about so many countries, cultures and get to know so many beautiful people. It’s heart-warming to see so many ladies from all walks of life the world over, get together to participate in the Pageant which stood for the importance cause – ‘Stop Domestic Violence’. I’m thrilled to now say, “I HAVE A FRIEND IN EVERY COUNTRY OF THIS WORLD!” And I’m blessed to have made a few friends for life and experienced such great positive inspiration.”

Delnaz credits her remarkable accomplishment to parents Parvin and Parvez Balsara, her supportive and encouraging in-laws, her delightful 4-year-old daughter, Shanaya, the center of her world, but most of all to husband Amitabh, her pillar of strength through it all – as she best puts it, “They say behind every successful man there is a women, but behind my success, is my man!”

What advice she like to share with our lovely lasses who wish to follow in her footsteps? “I highly encourage all to dream and foray ahead with all the passion they have. Women are born multitaskers – we have the ability to give life, run a family and also have a good career going. I salute and applaud every woman and encourage them to celebrate their womanhood, which is the greatest gift of god. Remember when we say ‘NOT NOW’, success becomes ‘NEVER’. So, develop the attitude of ‘WHY NOT NOW’, and success will be ‘OURS!’ What keeps me going is my passionate sense of purpose to do my bit for society. Hard work will yield results – I have given it my best with dedication, honesty, integrity and pride. And the results are here to see – not just in terms of external accomplishments but the internal sense of growth and contentment that I cherish.”

“I thank all who have supported me through my journey and enriched it – starting with a special mention to the Community’s favorite newspaper – Parsi Times – it’s a great news weekly that I personally enjoy reading. I’m also grateful to Parsi Times as my success would be incomplete without the appeal put in by PT before my Pageant, which helped me get the funds I needed – for which I sincerely thank the WZO Trust Funds leader, Mr. Tamboly for the generous support extended to not just me but also to our community. I’m truly proud to be part of one of the most loved, generous and respected communities. I’m also grateful to my Pageant Director Richa Singh; designers Archana Kochhar and Shivali Kalra; teachers Behnaz Todiwala and Divya Chauhan; my friend and guide Sharmee Divan and Rita Gangwani; all my supportive colleagues at work; my friend Dr. Neha Tyagi – Mrs. India Universe 2018; and most importantly, I thank our community for all the support I received. And most of all, I thank God Almighty for it all!”
