Sportsmanship And Fun At XYZ Games

On the 27th of January, Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) held its annual ‘XYZ Games’ at the Cusrow Baug Pavillion, with a participation of 30 teams comprising 6 children each, some as young as five years old. Tasks were explained in detail by the efficient XYZ team of organizers and volunteers and all participants were required to cooperate and perform as a team. Games included pulling the tyre with a team member sitting on it and the bucket game.

Post lunch, Ketayun’s Conquerors were in the lead – having played with great discipline and determination to win, and went on to become the two finalist teams in the rounds that followed which involved tug-o-war, an innovative ‘Stone, Paper, Scissors’ and Tic, Tac, Toe.

The Awards Ceremony saw almost every team winning a prize, with the majority going to Ketayun’s Conquerors. It was heartening to see was that the children cheered and clapped for all the winners – this was sportsmanship at its best. Kudos to Hoshaang Gotla and Team XYZ for a well-organized and brilliantly managed event, which ended with fun, forging new friendships and feasting on fun snacks!
