Homiyar Sidhwa Exonerated From Deolali Theft

On 20th August, 2016, the Deolali Agiary was burgled and an FIR was filed on 21st August with the police. The accused in the matter, Er. Homiyar Homi Sidhwa, the Mobed of Deolali Agiary, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the theft. Parsi Times had reported the story in September, 2016. On 5th March, 2019, in the court of the Judicial Magistrate, First Class, at Nashik Road (Taluka District Nashik), the case came to its conclusion absolving Er. Sidhwa, as per the Court Order [RCC No. 235/2017]: “Accused Homoyar Homi Sidhwa is acquitted from offence punishable under section 381 of the Indian Penal Code, vide section 248(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code.” The judgment was dictated and pronounced in open court under Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Aarti Shinde.

Addressing the Community members via the media, Er. Homiyar Sidhwa said, “I, Er. Homiyar Homi Sidhwa, would like to inform you that the Deolali Agiary robbery allegations put on me by the trustees have proven false in the Court of law at Nashik, where I have been fighting the case since 2016. At this very same Nasik Court, I have been given the clean chit and proven innocent. I take great pleasure in informing this to our community members.”
