TPZA Celebrates Dae Mah Gambhar

On 1st June, 2019, the TPZA (Thana Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman) celebrated the Dae Mahino Jashan and Gambhar at Cowasji Patell Agiary Compound, Thane. TPZA President, Zarsis Udhnawala welcomed Vada Dasturji Khurshed Dastoor and all the members. Trustee Rumi Kasad garlanded Dasturji while Bomi Boyce and Percy Karani felicitated him with a shawl and flowers on behalf of the Anjuman.

In his address, Vada Dasturji Khurshed Dastoor spoke on “Relevance Of Religion In The Present Scenario’, speaking about the Mazdyzasni Religion, Aryan Civilisation, the 5 destiny rules, One religion one God, Importance of Yatha, Ashemvahu and Yangehatam, and the importance of Sarosh Yazad. He stressed on how our religion advocates freedom on the fundamentals of “Good thoughts, Good words and Good deeds”. He spoke on how Zarthostis are fire worshippers and in the absence of pure sandalwood. ‘kathi’ was the next best option to offer to the Atash. This was followed by a brief question and answer session with the attendees. The function concluded with thanks offered to Vada Dasturji and the members, who collectively sang ‘Chhaiye Hume Zarthosti’ before heading for a delicious dinner by caterer Ketayun Bomi Khambatta.
