Kae Lohrasp – The Lord Over Thoughts (Mind)

Daisy P. Navdar is a teacher by profession and a firm believer in the efficacy of our Manthravani. She is focused on ensuring that the deep significance of our prayers is realized by our youth. She credits her learnings and insights, shared in her articles, to all Zoroastrian priests and scholars whose efforts have contributed towards providing light and wisdom for all Zarthostis.

Kae Lohrasp was an enlightened King and he had the unique gift of astral projection, which means he could be seen in two places at the same time. This makes us a few thousand years ahead of Star Trek! He was a highly evolved soul who used the powers of his manthravani to gain control of the mind. He is given the distinction of being ‘The Lord Of All Thoughts’, and focusing on Him, has a positive effect on our thoughts.

Focusing on his picture (he is popularly seen in the picture where Zarthost Saheb and the Holy Fire are given in three distinct columns), brings calmness and clarity to the mind. The uneven waves of negativity and despondency are calmed by reciting his manthra (ideally to be repeated seven times) as given below:

“Salim Mithra na Radi, Shehenshah Saheb Kae Lohrasp Shah Bin Aravand”

This short, one-line prayer helps those who suffer from any malaise of the mind. It also works on children who have Attention Deficiency Hyperactivity Disorder, or adults who suffer from low self-esteem, as also those who face any form of mental disturbance.

This prayer is not only for those who are clinically depressed, it works on all who face tough times and find their minds wallowing in negativity.

So often, we are advised to take our children or a dear one to a counselor for therapy. I urge you to try this prayer too, in conjunction with the therapy. These vibrations truly heal!
