Raell Padamsee’s Ace Productions presents a tribute show to the two stalwarts of Indian theatre – Padmabhushan Girish Karnad and Padmashri Alyque Padamsee, in the iconic ‘Broken Images’, in a whole different avatar. Shabana Azmi will deliver an on-stage stellar dual performance in a story about two sisters – an intellectually brilliant paraplegic and a plodding writer – who live together and are dependent on each other, but house different emotions and inhabit different linguistic worlds – English and Hindi. Shabana plays both sisters and their many images, as they morph into one another, in one of the most challenging roles of her career, pulling off a world-class performance.
