Virat Kohli Brings Victory For Indian In 2nd T20: An outstanding knock of an unbeaten 72 from India skipper and Man of the Match Virat Kohli helped India win the second T20 by seven wickets against South Africa, at Mohali. Batting first, South Africa scored 149-5 in 20 overs, as Quinton de Kock made 52 while Temba Bavuma contributed 49. For the hosts, Deepak Chahar picked (2-22) in four overs while Navdeep Saini, Jadeja and Hardik Pandya grabbed one wicket each. In reply, the Indian contingent cruised to victory notching up 151-3 in 19 overs. Shikhar Dhawan made 40. South Africa have a chance to square the series when they meet India in the third T20 at Bengaluru.

England Wins 5th Ashes Test At Oval: At the end of the Ashes, though the series was locked at 2-2 between Australia and England, the Urn went to Australia. Jofra Archer bagged Man of the Match. Ben Stokes took home England’s Player of the Series while Steven Smith received the Compton-Miller Medal for the second Ashes series and won Australia’s Player of the Series. During their first innings of the fifth Test in London, England made 294 in 87.1 overs. Jos Buttler’s 70 along with skipper Joe Root’s 57 and Rory Burns 47, helped reach a competitive score. Mitchell Marsh bowled impeccably for his fifer (5-46), supported by Pat Cummins’ three wicket haul. In reply, the Aussies were bowled out for 225 in 68.5 overs as Steven Smith produced a stellar 80. For the English, Jofra Archer’s top bowling picked (6-62) in 23.5 overs. During their second innings, England scored 329 in 95.3 overs as Joe Denly’s cocooned 94 and Ben Stokes 67 put the hosts in the drivers seat. Nathan Lyon snapped up four wickets. During the fourth innings, Australia were bowled out at 263 though Matthew Wade scored 117. England won the contest by 135 runs.
