Kiwis Win 3rd ODI Against India: New Zealand put up a spectacular show in the last and final ODI as Man of the Match Henry Nicholls top scored 80 while Martin Guptill contributed 66, to win by five wickets, clinching the series 3-0 V/s India. Batting first, India notched up 296-7 in 50 overs as KL Rahul smashed a brilliant 112 and Shreyas Iyer made 62. For the Kiwis, Hamish Bennett picked 4-64. The black caps chased down the total comfortably getting 300-5 in 47.1 overs. Ross Taylor was awarded the Man of the Series.


BADMINTON

India Reach Quarter-Finals In ATB: India has reached the quarter finals in the Asia Team Badminton Championships (ATBC) with a 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan. Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen and Shubhankar Dey won single contests while M R Arjun and Dhruv Kapila won the doubles match. Srikanth beat Dmitriy Panarin (21-10, 21-7); Lakshya beat Niyazov (21-13, 21-8); while Shubhankar beat Kulmatov (21-11, 21-5). Arjun and Kapila won against Nikita and Kulmatov 21-14, 21-8.


HOCKEY

India Loses In FIH Pro League: India faced its first defeat in the second edition of the FIH Hockey Pro League to world champions Belgium (2-3). Earlier, they defeated world number three, the Netherlands in their opening two matches and also beat Belgium in another contest. Alexander Hendrickx scored from a penalty corner while Maxime Plennevaux’s two goals ensured Belgium’s victory. India’s Vivek Sagar Prasad and Amit Rohidas scored goals.


FOOTBALL

Premier League Results: On 8th February, 2020, Everton won 3-1 V/s Crystal Palace; Brighton and Hove Albion drew 1-1 with Watford. Next day, Sheffield United beat AFC Bournemouth 2-1.


TENNIS

Bopanna-Shapovalov In Quarter-finals: Indian tennis star – Rohan Bopanna, teamed with Canada’s Denis Shapovalov, entered the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open after winning 7-6, 6-7, 10-8 against Australia’s John Peers and Michael Venus.
