Parsi New Year Greetings From Indian Leaders


Our much loved, respected and cherished community received wonderful New Year greetings from innumerable personalities and celebrities. The following are some of the greetings received from our President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and the Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra



The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind in his message on the eve of the Parsi New Year, said, “On the auspicious occasion of the Parsi New Year, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all the fellow citizens especially to my Parsi brothers and sisters. New Year’s Day is an occasion of devotion, enthusiasm and celebration for the Parsi Community. This festival also gives us the message of extending our helping hand towards the needy and maintaining cleanliness in our homes, workplaces and neighborhood. The contribution of the Parsi community in nation-building and development is a matter of inspiration and pride for all of us. May this festival of Parsi society based on the ideals of goodness in thoughts, words and deeds inspire all of us to imbibe positivity and to keep progressing in our social life through mutual harmony”.


Conveying his wishes on Parsi New Year, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on Sunday, hailed the “outstanding” contribution of the community to the country. “Navroz Mubarak! Greetings on Parsi New Year. India cherishes the outstanding contribution of the Parsi community, which has made a mark in a wide range of fields. May the coming year bring peace and prosperity in everyone’s lives,” he tweeted.

 

 

 


Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu extended greetings on Parsi New Year, saying the community held a special place in the cultural mosaic of the country. “India’s Parsi community has made an invaluable contribution to nation building,” he said in his message. “Celebrating Navroz in its true sense means imbibing good thoughts, doing good deeds, living truthfully and walking on the path of righteousness… As India and the world continue to fight a relentless battle against COVID-19, this year people have to be content with a modest celebration which is confined to homes… May this festival bring amity, prosperity and happiness in our lives!” he added.


Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted her greetings on Twitter, “Happy Navroze to all, especially to our darling Parsi aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in Delhi and Mumbai.”
