While most dream of contributing to society at large, the Surat Parsi Panchayat (SPP) thanks the XYZ Foundation’s ‘Behram’s Battalion’ for doing just that!
The challenges posed by the pandemic have resulted in a pause in children’s education, in remote villages. Online education, which is the new norm, is affordable by few, with many not having access to a device. But the ‘Donate To Educate’ drive, conducted by Behram’s Battalion from Mumbai, has successfully sponsored thirty-eight mobile phones for the boarders of the Nariman Parsi Zoroastrian Girls Orphanage and the Surat Parsi Boys Orphanage. Thanks to the largesse of donors, surprise stationery items were also gifted to the boarders, along with linen hampers donated to senior citizens in the Nariman Home and Infirmary, on 5th August, 2021.
XYZ also graciously sponsored meals for the seniors on Pateti, Parsi New Year and Khordad Saal at the Nariman Home. Special thanks to Freddy Mistry for his help coordinating the mobile phones and to Mahrukh Chichgar for coordinating with the orphanages and the home.
