On 6th October, 2021, the World Woman Leadership Congress (WWLC) honoured Pearl Sanga and Sinaiya Presswala with the prestigious ‘Asia’s Woman Leaders’ Award. Both are dynamic Directors at The Della Group, founded by entrepreneur Jimmy Mistry.
Pearl Sanga was felicitated for her exemplary leadership in managing multiple teams and leading them to scale new heights. She currently heads the Hospitality division which she set up from scratch, with founder – Jimmy Mistry. Her forte lies in scaling new business verticals, evangelizing partnerships, streamlining operations and driving revenue growth in the business. She has spearheaded various departments within the organization over the past seventeen years. Says Pearl, “This title is bestowed upon me only because of the support, encouragement and guidance provided by Jimmy Mistry, who has always encouraged me to take on more leadership challenges.”
Sinaiya Presswala is a multi-faceted leader who heads the Luxury Interior Products Supply Company as well as the real estate arm – ‘Della Villas’ – at the Della Group. She also heads the finance department of Della Group and has been the key architect of Della Groups Strategy and transformation in the last decade. She has played a crucial role in the conceptualisation, ideation and strategic implementation of these businesses. “I am thankful to Jimmy Mistry, who has provided the direction to lead and manage multiple teams, and encouraged us to contribute to the best of our potential,” shares Sinaiya.
The Asia’s Woman Leaders Award gives recognition to those inspirational women who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective leadership practices in Asia. The objective of the WWLC is to honour the strategic and influential role of women leaders that promotes the advancement of government and business organization, in line with global standards. A jury comprising senior industry professionals who evaluate the leaders based on a meticulous process looking at their contribution and leadership traits.
As women leaders who have taken the business forward by great leaps over the last decade, Pearl and Sinaiya are role models for the younger generation and aspiring women leaders. Kudos to them both!
