WZCC Pune Holds AGM 2021

On 16th October, 2021 WZCC-Pune organized an in-person, Annual General Meeting which received a good response from the members and guests of Pune chapter. Tehmasp Bharucha, Chapter Chair, WZCC-Pune welcomed the guests and expressed happiness at conducting an in-person meeting especially since the previous two AGMs were held online due to the pandemic. All COVID-related stipulations were strictly followed to ensure the safety of attendees. He presented the Annual Report of the activities carried out by the Pune chapter during the year, including numerous successful webinars on topics including Digital Marketing, Oral Hygiene, the Dark Web, Linked In, investments, etc. He informed that the next Global AGM of WZCC would be held next year in Pune, on 7th and 8th January.

Next, new members were introduced and member of the Working Committee of Pune chapter – Farrokh Bharucha informed that of the 90 members of Pune chapter, 3 were Corporate Life members, 40 were individual life members and 47 were annual members. He presented audited accounts of the Chapter for the period ended 31st March,2021 which were unanimously adopted. This was followed by Xerxes Dastur, Hon. Treasurer of WZCC-India discussed the pros and cons of the new work-from-home trend.

Viraf Deboo, Director – WZCC-India spoke about the tentative format of the upcoming Global AGM of WZCC, which will take place at the Ramada Plaza, Hinjewadi, in Pune next year. This would include talks by eminent speakers, panel discussions, entertainment programs, quiz, networking and a Gala Award Nite felicitating outstanding Zoroastrian entrepreneurs, professionals, social and youth icons. The AGM concluded with the vote of thanks by Bhathena, followed by cocktails and dinner.
