Central Bank of India Celebrates 111th Foundation Day

The iconic Central Bank Of India celebrated its 111th Foundation day on 21st December, 2021, across India. On this occasion, M V Rao – MD and CEO; alongside Eds – Alok Srivastava and Rajeev Puri; and other bank executives paid floral tributes to the bank’s Founder – Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, at the Mumbai corporate office. A newly installed bust of Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala was unveiled by Rao along with Dr. Pilloo Hakim – the grand-daughter of the Founder.

The occasion marked the launch of numerous customized products for customers including a revamped banking portal and the ‘Cent m-Pass Book’ App; E-Mandate in Debit Card, Rupay Business Card, Cent Sanjeevani, and Cent Go-Green Vehicle Loan. New employee initiatives were also introduced.

Rao addressed the gathering conveying his best wishes to all Centralites and their families. While emphasizing on the various customer centric products launched, he appealed to employees to perform with passion to improve the position amongst peer banks. Guest of honor, Dr. Pilloo Hakim thanked the bank management for remembering the founder’s family yearly on the foundation day function and expressed her best wishes to the bank on its 111th foundation day.
