A Time For Love

Dear Readers,

There was hardly ever a time when the world was more in need of love, than it is now. The struggle, or should I say battle, with humanity’s deadliest challenge, in the form of this ongoing and unceasing pandemic, has been intense and chronic. While no one has been spared of its wrath, there is still much reason to be grateful. We are blessed with resilient spirits… we continue to rise after every fall, we hold on to hope and we continue to heal, we hold on to faith and we continue to love.

Next week, February 14th, marks Valentine’s Day, a day in the year which formally celebrates love. But love should be celebrated every day of the year, every moment, in all its various forms… like healing and gratitude and compassion and warmth and friendship and passion and affection… and all things that uplift the spirit and rejuvenate the soul. Lao Tzu’s famous saying hits the nail on the head – “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” The past two years have been nothing if not humanity’s ultimate testament to great strength and courage.

Let the love keep flowing freely, let it ignite a lover’s heart as much as it lights up the eyes of your mother; let it as easily bring a smile to a face bereft of one, as it envelopes those we love. More than ever, this is a time for healing. More than ever, this is a time for love. Here’s wishing you and yours, a fun and safe weekend and a Happy Valentine’s Day!
