The NCPA’s Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) brings you an exciting season of concerts at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre: On 16^th September, at 7 pm, treat yourself to the music of ‘Humperdinck: Overture to Hansel & Gretel’, ‘Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto No.1’ and ‘Prokofiev: Romeo & Juliet’ with Alpesh Chauhan as conductor and Benjamin Grosvenor on piano. On 21^st September, at 7 pm, Alpesh Chauhan as conductor and Ben Goldscheider on the horn bring you ‘Tchaikovsky: Romeo & Juliet’, ‘Mozart: Horn Concerto No.3’, ‘Strauss: Horn Concerto No.1’ and ‘Bernstein: Symphonic Dances from West Side Story’. On 25th September at 5 pm, Sayaka Shoji on violin and Henri Demarquette on cello with Jean-Frederic Neuburger on piano will perform ‘Mendelssohn: The Hebrides’, ‘Brahms: Double Concerto’ and ‘Beethoven: Triple Concerto’. On 30^th September, at 7 pm, Pavel Kolesnikov on piano and Richard Farnes as conductor will perform the ‘Verdi: Overture to Nabucco’, ‘Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No.3’ and ‘Beethoven: Symphony No.7’.
