XYZ Holds Fun Leadership Camp

Xtremely Young Zoroastrians, the community’s premiere association for kids and young adults, held its annual Leadership Camp on 26th and 27th November, 2022, at Talegaon. A keenly awaited event, the Leadership Camp comprised 45 participants including XYZ Seniors, volunteers, office bearers and executive committee.

Day 1 started with ice breakers and fun Gujarati introductions, followed by workshops which enhanced personality development and individual growth. The evening had participants engrossed in team building activities, in a fun and competitive atmosphere. A campfire at night was the highlight of the day with fashion shows where groups designed their own costumes with waste materials with themes like Arabian nights and beach wear.

The second day started with group discussions for a social service initiative exploring different themes. Points were given for each activity and then the camp concluded with the prize distribution, where Presidents group coming out on top.

Sharing their experiences, while XYZ senior – Zinta Avari shared, “There’s so much that we learn here mostly through games and activities… from being on time for sessions to winning games as a team with members who we probably don’t know at all, each, and everything we do has some important lesson to learn,” Kayhan Dee, President Nominee – Rustom’s Rockstars said, “I have learnt what teamwork is, being more confident, exchanging and accepting others’ ideas and most important I have made new friends. I have thoroughly enjoyed my freedom at the camp.”
