Ahura Support Holds Sports Day For The Differently-Abled

Ahura Support, an NGO for the benefit of differently-abled individuals needing special care at all stages of life, held its fourth Annual Sports Day at the Sir Ness Wadia Memorial Pavilion, Rustom Baug, on 5th March, 2023. The event flagged off with a march past followed by various races designed to suit each beneficiary. Activities were curated with care to ensure all beneficiaries could participate, irrespective of their ability and everyone had the opportunity to be a winner.

The beneficiaries, assisted by staff and volunteers, participated with much excitement and enthusiasm, even as onlookers cheered them on. The highlight of the morning was a dance performance by the beneficiaries, worked upon for months with their Dance Movement Therapist.

Ahura Support is a registered charitable trust working towards bettering the lives of individuals with developmental or congenital disorders, who are predominantly mentally challenged. The organisation endeavours to maximize opportunities for differently abled individuals to discover their abilities, empower themselves, gain independence and live with dignity in an inclusive environment. Kudos to the trustees, staff and volunteers of Ahura Support for the excellent planning and execution of the event!
